“ The service and food was wonderful. Lilly was a treasure and she made us feel at home. We ordered the coconut shrimp and egg roll appetizers... super yummy! For dinner I had the shrimp and beef and my husband had the cashew chicken. The presentation was beautiful but the taste was even better. We have been coming to port townsend for years but never tried the restaurant... we now have a new place to frequent! ”
“ We finally stopped and ate here after passing by this place so many times on our day trips around the area. Let me share that the food is AMAZING. And the Garde manager creates some surprisingly good creatures out of fruits/vegetables. They have the history of the restaurant on their menu, and has been family owed for over 40 years. The building itself had a very unique "industrial boat building" type of smell, so if you love boats and or anything industrial you're going to smell the history of this building. From the hallway you pass to get to the restrooms, it looks like this building was some sort of school, most likely Maritime type. The waiter could have come back to the table to refill our waters, but I'm not going to complain about something so small, when the experience was so wonderful. Can't wait to eat here again ”
“ We love this family owned business. The beef chow fun and seafood chow mein are the best I've had anywhere. They have been in business for over 30 years for a good reason. Delicious! ”
“ Chef Jason is awesome. His food is great and his professionalism is beyond words. He is very accommodating to adjust his menu to accommodate allergies and has Vegan and Gluten Free options. Highly recommend and we will be returning. ”
“ Delicious food, kind staff and just good service. Highly recommend to anyone, I've been looking for a Chinese place in the area and I'll be happy to drive an hour to eat here. Feels like family. ”
“ locals love Shanghai. i think their version of pho noodle soup comes together a lot better than the local competition. ask about tendon. solid yellow curry and lots of access to nice fresh veg without a ton of grease. Jason still runs this place with his beloved mother Nu, but this local institution (soon to celebrate 40 years in business) sadly won't be around forever. the smell is the creosote piles the ancient place is built on. ”
“ Hands down the best meal I’ve had in a very long time. We are a family of 6 with 4 young kids. We loved the play area for kids, I wish more places offered this amenity. The food was fantastic. We ordered a large quantity of food and we didn’t have a bite leftover. It was that good! We visit the area often and will definitely be returning here, as we have all agreed, this is our family’s new favorite restaurant. Every employee we encountered was nice and friendly and engaged with us and our children. Thank you!! ”
“ Cute restaurant on the water with an excellent beach view. The couple that run the place are adorable. Super friendly. The food’s great; classic American Chinese. The potstickers are homemade and delicious, and the fried oysters were excellent as well. ”
